Terms & Conditions of Sale

These terms govern the sale of all products by Studio Ore. References to "Studio Ore", "we", "us" or "our" refer to the relevant contracting entity depending on your location:

2. Definitions


"B2B Customer" means a business, trade professional, architect, interior designer, contractor, or other commercial entity purchasing products for business purposes.
"B2C Customer" or "Consumer" means an individual purchasing products wholly or mainly for personal, domestic, or household use.
"Order" means a purchase placed via our website, by email, or by telephone.
"Order Confirmation" means the email we send confirming receipt and acceptance of your order, which also marks the start of any applicable cancellation window.
"Made to Order" means any product finished, configured, or assembled to your individual specification following receipt of your order.

3. These Terms

By placing an order with Studio Ore you agree to these terms. We reserve the right to update them at any time; the version in force at the time of your order applies.

Where you are a B2B Customer, these terms constitute the entire agreement between us in relation to your order. We exclude any standard terms you may seek to apply.

Where you are a B2C Customer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

4. Made-to-Order Products

4.1 All products are made to order

Every Studio Ore product is made to order. Each item is finished and configured to your individual specification — including finish, handle selection, and fitting configuration — following receipt of your order and payment. Production resources are committed upon order confirmation and the manufacturing process begins at that point.

4.2 Cancellation window

You may cancel or amend your order within 24 hours of the timestamp on your Order Confirmation email, provided you notify us in writing to info@studio-ore.com within that period. We will acknowledge your cancellation in writing.

After this 24-hour window, cancellations and amendments cannot be accepted and your order will proceed to production.

4.3 Refunds on cancellation within 24 hours

Where a valid cancellation is made within the 24-hour window, we will issue a full refund to your original payment method within 5 working days of our written acknowledgement of your cancellation.

4.4 Effect on statutory cancellation rights (B2C Customers)

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (UK) and the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU), the standard 14-day right to cancel distance contracts does not apply to goods made to a consumer's specifications or that are clearly personalised. As all Studio Ore products are made to your individual specification, this statutory right to cancel does not apply once production has commenced.

By placing an order, you acknowledge that your order is for bespoke, made-to-order goods and that your cancellation rights are limited to the 24-hour window set out in clause 4.2 above.

Note: This clause does not affect your rights in relation to faulty, damaged, or non-conforming goods. See clause 9.

5. Placing an Order

Orders may be placed via our website, by email, or by telephone. All orders are subject to acceptance by Studio Ore. Receipt of an automated payment confirmation does not constitute acceptance; a contract is formed only when we send your Order Confirmation.

We reserve the right to decline any order at our discretion, including where a product is no longer available or where we identify an error in pricing or product description. In such cases, we will notify you promptly and issue a full refund of any payment taken.

6. Pricing & Payment

All prices are as quoted at the time of order. Prices are subject to change without notice, but any change will not affect an order already confirmed.

Prices are exclusive of VAT where applicable. VAT will be applied at the rate applicable to your jurisdiction at the time of order.

Payment is due in full at the time of order unless otherwise agreed in writing. For B2B Customers, we may at our discretion offer credit terms; any such terms will be set out in a separate written agreement.

7. Delivery

Lead times are provided at the time of order and confirmed in your Order Confirmation. As all products are made to order, lead times are estimates and we will notify you of any material change.

Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Title passes on receipt of full payment.

For B2C Customers, if we are unable to deliver within the agreed timeframe, you may request a full refund. We will fulfil orders within 30 days of the confirmed lead time unless otherwise agreed.

Delivery to international destinations may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are your responsibility. We are not liable for delays caused by customs processing.

8. Specification & Finish Variations

Studio Ore products feature natural and living finishes, including unlacquered brass, which will develop a patina over time. Variations between products, samples, and photography are inherent to the nature of these finishes and do not constitute a defect.

Where you have approved a finish sample prior to order, that sample constitutes the agreed specification. Minor natural variation within that specification is accepted as part of the order.

9. Faulty & Non-Conforming Goods

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for goods that are faulty, damaged on delivery, or do not conform to the agreed specification.

9.1 B2C Customers

If you are a Consumer, you have the right to reject faulty goods, require repair or replacement, or receive a price reduction or refund, in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (UK) or applicable EU consumer law. Please contact us at info@studio-ore.com within a reasonable time of discovering any fault.

9.2 B2B Customers

If you are a B2B Customer, you must inspect goods on delivery and notify us in writing of any visible defects within 5 working days of receipt. We will not be liable for defects that would have been apparent on reasonable inspection if notice is not given within this period. For latent defects, notice must be given within a reasonable time of discovery.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you in connection with any order shall not exceed the price paid for the relevant products.

We shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic loss, including loss of profit, loss of contract, or loss of anticipated savings.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

B2C Customers: the limitations in this clause do not affect your statutory rights.

11. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in Studio Ore products, designs, and associated materials remain the property of Studio Ore. Nothing in these terms transfers any such rights to you.

12. Data & Privacy

We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at www.studio-ore.com. By placing an order, you acknowledge this processing.

13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales.

For B2B Customers, the English courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.

For B2C Customers in the EU, you may also be entitled to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence. You may also have access to alternative dispute resolution schemes in your jurisdiction.
