Solid brass that's been chemically aged to achieve a warm, characterful patina, then sealed with a clear matte lacquer. The lacquer preserves the finish and protects it from further ageing or colour development.

With proper care, the finish will maintain its aged appearance over time. The lacquered layer protects against natural patination whilst keeping the original aged look.

How it will age: The lacquered surface is designed to remain largely unchanged with proper maintenance. If the lacquer becomes scratched or damaged, the exposed brass may begin to age naturally in those areas.
