STORIES

A look at Studio Ore's Chapters

Every chapter we've made is different. They represent different aesthetics. Different eras. But each, unmistakably Studio Ore. Everything we make is consistent. Everything we do is deliberate.

We started in 2017, when our founder, Daniel Lee, couldn't find what he wanted. Taps in raw, unlacquered brass. Slightly industrial in style. There was a gap. So he made them himself. One design then developed into a full range: Chapter One. Today our taps and fittings are seen in some of the most considered projects around the world. We have a whole library of finishes. And we're launching our newest range, Chapter Four, later this year.

All of our chapters offer the full range of brass basin taps, bath taps, shower systems and hardware. Pieces work together visually and technically. You can mix across ranges, or stick to one. The choice is yours. Every fitting is available in every Studio Ore finish.

Here's a look at each of our chapters so far.

Chapter One: Industrial Simplicity

Our signature design, still central to what we make. Slightly industrial, clean lines, minimal details. Chapter One is where Studio Ore started. Simple, functional, made to last. Works with any kitchen or bathroom scheme.

Studio Ore fittings are found in the bathroom of this home designed by Tristan Domecq. The taps are mounted on the wall, above a marble basin.

Chapter Two: Transitional Details

Period detailing, but subtle. Chapter Two sits between traditional and modern. Transitional, designed with both contemporary and period bathrooms and kitchens in mind. Bridge mixers, considered spouts, classic profiles. More ornamental than Chapter One, built to the same standard.

Studio Ore fittings are found in this project by Studio Skey. in Polished nickel, the kitchen bridge mixer stands on a black marble worktop and double basin. Next to it, the hand rinse. The kitchen is monochromatic with white panelled walls and units.

Chapter Three: Refined Minimalism

Our range with no unnecessary detailing. The most pared-back designs we make. Chapter Three is designed for schemes where fittings sit quietly. Slim proportions, clean architectural lines, no wasted detail.

Studio Ore fittings in lacquered bronze can be found in the bathrooms at The Fox, Oddington. Here the floor mounted bath mixer stands over a large, roll top bath in a period bathroom.

Chapter Four: engineered heritage

Chapter Four looks back to move forward. It’s classic British brassware, reimagined. Our most traditional range yet. Still Studio Ore. It works in a modern new build. It works in a period renovation.

It's launching this autumn, and there are lots of new pieces to see.

Brassware made for you

We know exactly how and where our brassware is made because we do it all ourselves. Designed in Britain, made in our workshop on Lake Orta. Hand-finished, piece by piece. Small-batch production, never mass-produced.

We'll always work directly with you, the architect, designer, or homeowner. No distributors, no middlemen. That's what matters to us.

Every Studio Ore piece is finished by hand.
Every Studio Ore piece is finished by hand. And every piece, of unsurpassed quality.

Come and see our chapters in person

There's a difference to seeing our products in person. To compare finishes, hold pieces, feel their weight. We have knowledgeable consultants around the world, we'll talk brassware in any language.

Whether you're working on a personal renovation or thinking about a future project, come and see us. Or we'll come to you.
